Project Successfully Delivered with NIS Support under the “Community Together 2021” Programme

The “Veljko Ramadanović” School for Visually Impaired Students was selected in the Community Together 2021 call as one of five institutions in Belgrade in which projects focused on environmental protection are being carried out. During the 2021/2022 school year, our school delivered the project “Improving energy efficiency by replacing joinery”, and the old, worn-out joinery on part of the boarding-house building was replaced with new PVC joinery. The project was worth 2,856,330.00 dinars, and the kitchen, dining room, infirmary, preschool block, TV room and the offices of the speech therapist, psychologist, social worker and religious education entered the new school year with new windows. We thank the NIS company for the great social responsibility it has shown by funding this project, which not only cared for the environment but also improved the school life of children who are blind or partially sighted, as well as of the staff who work with them.
