Boarding House Structure

The Boarding House is an institution providing accommodation for blind, partially sighted and multiply disabled children, from preschool to secondary-school age.

The boarding house has 18 living units. Each living unit consists of three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchenette and a sanitary area with a bathroom and central hot-water supply. Students are assigned to living units according to gender, calendar age and school grade. Each living unit is designed to provide every student with comfortable and pleasant accommodation with a rich programme of activities. It is designed to allow the practising of everyday-living skills. One living unit is arranged for home-economics lessons.
