takes part in creating optimal conditions for students' proper growth and maturation
acts preventively, monitors and strengthens students' competencies for solving personal and social problems
supports students' better integration into the school environment and provides help in crisis situations
supports the creation of positive interpersonal relationships among students and between students and teachers
cooperates with other expert associates, teachers, parents, professional organisations, local government and institutions of importance to the school
in cooperation with teachers, other expert associates and parents or guardians, works on humanising and creating equal and as-optimal-as-possible living and working conditions for all students
through their activities contributes to creating an atmosphere of tolerance and mutual trust, as well as students' satisfaction with being at school
provides encouragement and concrete support and help to students and parents or guardians in overcoming pronounced problems and exercising certain rights
informs teachers and other expert associates about the influence of students' socio-economic circumstances on their success and functioning at school
